Basic First Aid (Emergency First Response)

 

Audience

 

Any person working within remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for other staff.

 

Summary

 

This unit is dedicated to the specific focus of life saving interventions within the program environment.   This is not a fully endorsed Basic First Aid course, instead, it focuses on temporary actions designed to prevent deterioration, promote recovery and protect a casualty while waiting for professional medical assistance or indeed, transferring the casualty to a place of higher care.
