Online Overview
HDLC study options are
"Competency
Based" with a focus on the absorption of
knowledge and therefore the foundation of skill,
rather than the provision of generic information.
To achieve this, you
have access to an individual student account upon
enrolment which acts as your workspace during the
study timeframe.
Study Levels
The HDLC offers three
levels of study giving potential students financial
and study approach flexibility;
-
Award Courses
-
An
Award Course comprises a minimum of 10
Units of Competency drawn from relevant
learning streams such as Security, Safety,
Health and or Logistics.
-
Short Courses
-
A
Short Course comprises between 1 and 9
Units of Competency drawn from relevant
learning streams such as Security, Safety,
Health and or Logistics.
-
Units of
Competency
-
A
Unit of Competency is the build block
for all Award and Short Courses, yet can be
undertaken on its own. Each unit
of competency is made up of several
"elements" of competency.
