Fire Safety & Fire Attack

 

Audience

 

Any person working within remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for other staff.

 

Summary

 

Fire related incidents are common with the humanitarian environment and have the potential to destroy critical infrastructure such as warehouse and offices.   An entire program can be brought to a halt, because fire prevention, was not undertaken and led to the destruction of financial, human resource and program records.  

 

This Unit covers all aspects of fire prevention and response, including the characteristics of fire dynamics, equipment use and safety control.
