Abduction & Hostage Taking

 

Audience

 

Any person working within remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for other staff.

 

Summary

 

This Unit looks into the characteristics of Hostage Taking and the act of abduction/kidnap to force a Hostage Taking situation.  

 

Skills and knowledge focus upon preparing for, preventing and responding to such an incident from the perspective of the individual target themselves as well as the agency "incident management team" and other staff who may witness such an incidents.
