Audience

 

Any person working within remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for other staff.

 

Summary

 

This Unit clearly defines  the role and application of contingency planning within a "program wide" response to insecurity and specific NGO targeting.

 

The unit defines the various approaches to Hibernation, Relocation, Suspension and Evacuation as well as the detail of facilitating such activities.   Rationale, considerations, logistics and so on are covered to build a comprehensive picture of the importance of contingency planning with day to day program operations.
