Unit of Competency - SE08GE07
(I-ACT) Incident Response Model
Audience
Any person working within
remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for
other staff.
Summary
This unit is a popular departure from the idea of
integrating "response actions" into documents such as Standard Operating
Procedures. I-ACT is an easy to use "quick-skill" designed to be applied to
any incident type and promote a safe and effective response by those within the
incident location.
This Unit defines the I-ACT "quick-skill"
terminology, application and relevance when used in conjunction with skills
developed in units such as Incident Management Planning, Personal Safety and
Security Awareness and so on.
The unit is designed to empower staff to be
creative about how they can safely and effectively manage a fluid incident with
limited support.
