Unit of Competency - SE10GE07

Incident Management Planning

Audience

Any person working within remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for other staff.

Summary

While a great deal of time is spent on daily safety and security management principals in the field, it is incident management capacity which (when an incident does occur) is the make or break of a programs continuity.

This Unit discusses Incident Management Planning concepts, considerations and the application of broad methodology.

Themes within the unit complement the strategies of other critical planning activities covered in the wider HDLC curriculum.   In particular, medical related incidents, management and support feature as key skills and knowledge in any remote or semi-remote programming area.
