Developing Standard Operating Procedures

Audience

Any person working within remote locations, relief and development and or with safety responsibilities for other staff.

Summary

Similar to the Unit on Security Management Plans, this Unit details the considerations and rationale for developing Standard Operating Procedures as a sub-section of the wider Security Management Plan framework.

This is a step by step narrative on how to construct SOP's in a way which enhances the opportunity for staff interest and compliance.   When utilised in a real operational environment, the templates associated with this Unit can be easily modified to suit the contextual characteristics of the agency.
